Are superfoods safe for my dog?

One of the most common questions we get asked is ‘is this safe for my dog’. Its not just humans that benefit from having increased nutrition in their diets- its beneficial for all creatures.

Our pets have become an extension of our families and so when illness hits, we want to do everything in our power to make them healthy again- enter superfoods.  Virtually all of our superfoods have a powerful medicinal effect on dogs- the one superfood they should never ingest is the Forest Superfoods Raw Cacao.

 

Have a dog with anxiety?

We have Australian Grown Reishi mushrooms, known as the mushroom of mortality , it renders the same effects on your canine friend as it does on you. It relaxes the nervous system, alleviating anxiety as well as providing immune system support, protecting the liver, supporting the kidneys, relieving allergies, helping to control blood sugar, regulating blood pressure oh and its a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. 

Dosage:  

Add two capsules to your canine’s meal a day for a large dog or one capsule for a small dog

Have a dog with dementia?

Our Australian Grown Lions Mane Mushrooms can be incredible for helping your dog with dementia and other neurological issues.  Researchers have found that lion’s mane  may be protective against developing dementia, as well as having the ability to  reduce mild symptoms of anxiety and depression.  Whats more they have also established it can help repair nerve damage.

Dosage: 

Add two capsules  or two tablespoons to your dogs meals daily if a large dog, otherwise reduce to one capsule or one tablespoon.

Have a dog with cataracts?

Cataracts are a common complaint for older dogs, and like humans there are certain nutrients that can both slow the development and improve eyesight. 2 tbsp with food daily for a large dog and 1 tbsp for a small dog

Have a dog with Arthritis?

There are quite a few superfoods that can work in conjunction to reduce arthritic pain in both dogs and humans, in particular Hemp oil and Moringa.

They both can relieve pain, reduce inflammation, of the joints and intestinal inflammation.

Dosage:

Drizzle two tablespoons on food once a day for a large dog or one tablespoon on food one per day for a small dog.

 

Have a dog with Kennel Cough?

You need to try this natural kennel cough remedy. 

Combine 1 tbsp coconut oil,

1 capsule Forest Superfoods Camu Camu,

1 tbsp raw honey

1 tsp cinnamon.

Stir till combined and add to meals.
