I don’t know about you, but we eat a lot of potatoes. I mean a LOT of potatoes and luckily for us they are super easy to grow.
Plant them just as the weather starts to warm up in early spring. Dig a trench (if planting in rows) and drop a potato in at 20cm intervals. Plant around 15cm down.
I made the mistake one year of just planting potatoes on the surface and covering with some compost. Summer rolled around and a lot of my new spuds were exposed to light (so they turned green and couldn’t be eaten).
Harvest once the tops of the plants start to die off or harvest gradually as you need them by digging down around the plants.
