Hemp is the most nutritious seed in the world. It is a complete protein, with the most concentrated mix of proteins, essential fats and fibre. Hemp contains very little starches and saturated fats.
At present 80% of the worlds industrial hemp seed production is from China but at Forest Super Foods we don’t stock Chinese grown products if at all possible.
Used for thousands of years, the hemp plant is one of the most medicinal, sustainable & useful plants known to man. It’s seeds have an incredibly rounded & balanced nutritional profile, contain masses of protein and all essential amino acids amongst other fantastic health-boosting benefits. Actually a fruit rather than a seed, hemp seeds taste similar to pine nuts, have a soft texture and a mild nutty flavour.
Grown in clean air in Tasmania, Victoria and New South Wales and processed in Queensland, these are some of the freshest and tastiest seeds you’ll find anywhere in the world. Our hemp seeds are packed with protein and all essential amino acids and you can actually taste the difference in quality!
The majority of hemp sold by the market leader is derived from China not Australia and thus the quality is inferior to what you would expect from Australian grown produce.
Hulled Hemp Seeds are a perfect and natural blend of digested proteins, essential fatty acids (EFA) known as Omega 3 & 6. These omegas including Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA) are a perfect balance and reportedly a more digestible protein than meat, eggs and cows milk. They are also rich in vitamin E and can be eaten by those unable to eat nuts, gluten, sugar or lactose.
Essential Fatty Acids
The oil contained in hemp seeds is approximately 75% polyunsaturated fats (the friendly good fats) and approximately 10% of the less desired saturated fats. Hemp seed oil is the most unsaturated oil derived from the plant kingdom. The EFA’s contained in hemp seeds are considered essential as our bodies don’t naturally produce them. They can only be obtained by the foods we eat.
Additionally, it is widely accepted that most western diets are very rich in Omega-6 oils and lacking in Omega-3’s. The ratio of Omega-6 to Omega-3 oils should be approximately 4:1. The modern day diet typically sees this ratio at 10:1 or higher.
High Protein
Hemp seeds are an incredible source of plant-based protein, boasting a massive 33% protein whilst containing every essential amino acid. As the building blocks of protein, amino acids have a wide-ranging positive effect on the body. Of all 20 amino acids, the body actually produces 10 while the rest must be derived from your diet. Foods containing all of these essential amino acids combined are not common and help the body digest and absorb much needed protein.
Hemp seeds rich protein content and full amino acid profile make this super food ideal for vegetarians or those on vegan diets, as it can be hard to find protein-rich foods from plant based sources.

I’ve been stprinkling this on porrige and cereal in the morning for extra protein boosts and it’s been working great, it also tastes delicious. I can eat it by the teaspoonful as well.
I purchased this product for my wife, to hopefully help to alleviate some of the body pain she is currently experiencing. She has been consuming the seeds for approximately two weeks and informs me the hemp seeds appear to have relieved some pain. Time will tell if the seeds help to further alleviate the aches and pains she currently experiences. I have not had any issues with product delivery or contact from this company, which is always a customer bonus.
I don’t know if they are contributing to better health but we love them they are delicious. We have them every morning as part of breakfast
