What nutrients are in Cacao?

Raw ceremonial cacao is an amazing source of vitamins A, C, D, and B-Complex vitamins.

It is also high in iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, zinc and a fair amount of selenium.

Cacao is the richest source of theobromine, and one of the richest sources of antioxidants, which helps protect the body from free radicals.

What is the difference between cacao and cocoa?

People often confuse cacao with cocoa as they both come from the Coco Bean. The difference is that cocoa is usually highly processed and heated to the point where it loses a lot of its health benefits.

Cacao is fermented and raw. Ceremonial cacao is cacao in it purest form, with minimal processing in order to preserve its incredible benefits.

How do I consume Cacao?

Add 1 tablespoon of our Ceremonial Cacao to your favourite smoothies or milkshake, stir into snacks, bake into breads, use to create sauces, cakes, raw chocolate or chocolate mousse.

Raw cacao powder can be used 1:1 as a substitute for any recipe calling for cocoa powder – although it does have a slightly less sweet taste.
