Hemp Seed Dressing

This deliciously creamy, herby hemp seed dressing is a delicious and nutritious addition to any meal.

Packed with plant-based protein, hemp seeds are a rich source of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and essential nutrients, while fresh herbs provide antioxidants and vitamins.

Drizzle this dressing over salads, roasted vegetables, or use it as a dip for crunchy crudites.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup hemp seeds
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup fresh mixed herbs (such as parsley, dill, chives, or basil), finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method:

  1. In a blender or food processor, combine the hemp seeds, water, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, nutritional yeast, and Dijon mustard.
  2. Blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the fresh mixed herbs to the blender and pulse a few times until the herbs are finely chopped and well incorporated into the dressing.
  4. Taste the dressing and season with salt and pepper as needed.
  5. Transfer the dressing to a jar or airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to meld together.
  6. Serve the creamy vegan hemp herb dressing sauce over your favourite salads, roasted vegetables, or as a dip for crudites. Enjoy!
