In this age of intense virtual interaction, I feel bombarded by information from all directions. There is so much divisiveness in our society at the moment.
So many people trying to make their opinion yours. So many different companies trying to sell you things. So much going on. It makes me dizzy thinking about it.
No matter what is happening in the world the most important thing is to feel connected with ourselves, connect with our family/friends and connect with the human race as a whole.
Yet there is one question we can ask ourselves that cuts through all the crap. That can help each and every individual to decide on the best course of action.
Will this bring us closer together?
That’s it.
When you are about to aggressively share your opinion with someone else, you can ask yourself…
Will this bring us closer together?
When you are about to put into place an employment policy or a political policy, you can ask yourself
Will this bring us closer together?
You can even ask it of yourself.
Does this action/habit/thought/words bring me closer to myself?
If the answer is yes then do it! If the answer is no then move on to green pastures.
