What is the mushroom mycelium?
The mycelium is the intricate ‘roots’ of the mushroom, branching out beneath the surface in a vast network of fine filaments. It is the first stage of the mushroom life cycle, which facilitates the growth of the fruiting body and its nutrient absorption.
As it requires a much more sophisticated (and expensive) growing process, most mushroom suppliers don’t include it in their supplements. We believe this critical part of the mushroom is as valuable as the fruiting body, which is why we include it in all our mushroom blends.
