You have found the best Reishi in the world…
- Grown in Australia: Mushrooms are highly absorbent. They will absorb the heavy metals and toxins from the environment in which they are in. Thus if they are grown in polluted areas or with unclean water they can be dangerous to consume.
- Superior drying process: Our Reishi mushrooms are not just grown in the pollution-free Yarra Valley (Victoria); but they are also freeze dried in Victoria. Freeze drying is a superior process of drying to spray drying. It allows for a much more nutrient dense product. The cost is far greater and thus many imported Lion’s Mane mushrooms are spray dried.
- Contains the potent mycelium: Our Reishi includes the mycelium of the mushroom (the “roots” of the mushroom below the surface) not just the fruiting body. World-renowned mycologists like Paul Stamets believe a lot of the benefits of medicinal mushrooms are contained in the mycelium.
- A whole food: An extract contains mostly alcohol or water with minute amounts of the water soluble parts of the mushroom. Our Lion’s Mane is the entire mushroom grounded up (so you have a product as close to it’s natural state as possible).
Our Reishi mushroom is grown and dried in Victoria, Australia. At no point in the process does it leave Australia.
It is freeze-dried for maximum nutrient retention (not spray dried like cheap substitutes). It also includes the mushroom mycelium (the “roots” of the mushroom) which according to the Paul Stamets method, is the most medicinal part of the mushroom. Most inferior brands will just sell the fruiting body.
It is grinded into a powder so it’s easy to make into tea or add into a smoothie.

"If at anytime you think this product is not of the highest quality, I insist that you return it for a refund."

The dried “mycelium” of Reishi the root-like body that produces mushrooms has been found to be highly effective in the treatment of neuroses caused by “environmental stress”. In addition, in an eight-month study of Alzheimer’s disease, patients taking a Reishi mycelium product demonstrated significant improvement

Healing the Liver: Reishi is used for the treatment of chronic hepatitis. Reishi extract has been reported to be effective in treating patients with liver failure. In animal studies of mice with carbon tetrachloride-induced hepatitis, the extent of liver damage was significantly inhibited by continuous dosing with Reishi tincture and the regeneration of the liver was promoted

Studies of Reishi proved to have an anti-tumor effect. The active anti-cancer constituents in Reishi are called Beta-D-glucan. Beta-D-glucan is a polysaccharide basically a huge sugar molecule made up of many little sugar molecules chained together bound to amino acids. These intricate sugars stimulate or modulate the immune system by activating immune cells such as macrophage and helper T-cells, as well as increase the immunoglobin levels to produce a heightened response to foreign cells, whether bacteria, viruses, or tumor cells

Ingredients: Reishi Mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum), Mushroom Substrate (brown rice traces & mycelium).
Why our mushrooms contain minute traces of brown rice…
The brown rice is the growing medium and most of it is consumed by the mushroom during the growing period. However the mycelium can not be separated from the brown rice entirely and thus there is some brown rice in the finished product.
Whilst it is more complicated (and expensive) process for us to include the mycelium in the finished product, we feel it is necessary to provide the best quality product we can. This is inline with the findings of international mushroom experts such as Paul Stamets.
Don’t take our word for it! Check out this scientific study that “once again confirms that not only the mycelium but the substrate on which it is grown becomes profoundly immune enhancing.”
Why we don’t sell extracts…
An extract requires the removal of some parts of the mushroom in preference for others. When you isolate a compound from a wholefood you remove components which assist the body with the absorption and digestion of the mushroom.
In our experience, it is most beneficial to consume a wholefood, as close to the natural state of the mushroom as possible.
The argument competitors make for selling extracts is that the chitin is not easily broken down during digestion. Our mushrooms are heated prior to powdering (to remove bacteria) and this is more than sufficient to break down the cell wall so the the chitin is bioavailable .
